Beyond its size, it reveals a clear strategic repositioning: the EU aims to streamline its financial instruments, increase flexibility, and address the major challenges of competitiveness, sovereignty, and security.<\/p><p>At Euro-Funding, we have analysed the numbers in detail. Our objective: understand how this new financial framework compares with the current one, and more importantly, what opportunities it may open for stakeholders across Europe \u2014 from industry and research to public authorities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4c6da7a7 separador-4-izq elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"4c6da7a7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">From COVID-19 recovery to long-term strategic planning<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5845db71 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5845db71\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To fully appreciate the magnitude of the 2028\u20132034 MFF, it is necessary to compare it not only with the last MFF (2021\u20132027), but also with<span style=\"color: #013e77;\"> <strong>NextGenerationEU (NGEU)<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; the unprecedented recovery instrument launched in response to the COVID-19 crisis. While the core MFF for 2021\u20132027 amounted to around \u20ac1.07 trillion, NGEU added another \u20ac807 billion, bringing the total to <span style=\"color: #013e77;\"><strong>approximately \u20ac1.88 trillion<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p>The new MFF is therefore only slightly larger in financial terms &#8211; <span style=\"color: #013e77;\"><strong>\u20ac1.98 trillion<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; but conceptually very different. It is no longer a budget shaped by crisis response. It is a forward-looking investment tool designed to build the EU\u2019s resilience, autonomy, and strategic capacity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c2794b4 separador-4-izq elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c2794b4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">A Simpler Structure for a More Strategic Budget<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-c0abc2a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"c0abc2a\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-314250d\" data-id=\"314250d\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0b1e0b1 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0b1e0b1\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The proposed MFF simplifies the budget structure from <strong>seven headings to four<\/strong>, helping reduce fragmentation and allowing for more coherence in implementation.
