HOW COMPANIES SHOULD PREPARE
Nowadays many companies need and want to receive the aid that the European Commission offers to them. The EC grants can reach up to 17.5 million euros for a single project, an amount much higher than what can be obtained at the national level. However, there is a lot of ignorance about the subject and most of them do not know very well how to prepare themselves to be able to apply for them.
Companies must take into account these three requirements to be eligible for this type of aid:
1. SOLUTIONS TO SOCIAL PROBLEMS
On the one hand, it is necessary to take into account that one of the essential requirements that the European Commission demands when choosing to whom to grant these aids is that the applicant company offers solutions to problems that affect citizens, that is to say, the company must be aligned with the strategies of the European Union.
In addition to this, all companies that want to be financed by the European Commission are obliged to respond to environmental, gender balance, circular economy components, among many other things, and all of them must involve the citizen in their activity in order to achieve greater coverage of their project.
2. DISRUPTIVE AND TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCTS
On the other hand, another of the most important points to achieve these grants is the possibility of offering the market great advantages over the competition through disruptive products or services. These developments must have technological components that no one has developed so far and a digital strategy.
3. CREDIBLE BUSINESS PLAN
Likewise, to be eligible for these grants, it is essential that companies have a credible and sustainable business plan based on their market.
These requirements are not mandatory, although they are recommended. Europe is a very competitive area, a company that bets on these 3 keys will have many more chances to get these grants than others that only meet a couple of them. Count on an external advisor and analyze your possibilities.
