Purchasing has taken a very important turn within organisations, adding to these support functions the need to actively participate in the company’s global strategy. In short, we are moving from a merely functional department to a strategic department.
In this transformation, the relationship with internal stakeholders is essential. The Purchasing Director will have to prioritise the establishment of alliances and collaborations with the Quality, Marketing, IT and Sales departments.
